He holds a B.A. in Philosophy, Bible, and Jewish Studies from Tel Aviv University and is a qualified Practical Engineer, having studied at Ort Singalovsky.

As the Founder and CEO of Compedia Ltd., established in 1988, Gil has positioned the company as a global leader in the development and publishing of interactive educational content. Under his leadership, Compedia has created advanced learning solutions for millions of users across 50 countries in 35 languages. The company’s expertise in visual computing, augmented reality, virtual reality, and instructional design has set new standards in the industry.

Gil’s influence extends beyond his role at Compedia. He serves as the Chairman of the Board at Emotiplay and is a dedicated member of the “Spirit of Israel”, where he has held roles as a board member and Vice-chairman. This non-profit organization, established by the Jewish Agency, mobilizes Israeli citizens and the business sector for corporate social responsibility in partnership with Jewish communities worldwide.

In addition to his professional achievements, Gil is an accomplished author, having published three novels: Is There Someone Here (2004), Wedding Pictures (2006), and The Coal Eaters (2009).
