For the past twenty-one years, William Vela has been the Executive Director / Founder of the Miami Short Film Festival (MiamisFF), overseeing every single aspect of the International Festival. The Miami Short Film Festival (MiamisFF) is where filmmakers from around the globe have the unique opportunity of having their work screened in front of audiences.

As of today, the Festival has presented hundreds of influential works by film artists.

With over 25 years of experience working as a professional actor, and producer, Mr. Vela has also worked for major Hispanic Networks in the USA producing and appearing as a talent in over 250 TV commercials, for the local, national, and international markets.

A creative and dynamic leader in the entertainment industry, with continued success in event planning and media productions. Mr. Vela continues fiercely focusing on expanding local, national, and international independent short film productions and integrating influential and diverse partnerships into the festival platform.
