Nominated for an Emmy for a segmented documentary “Los niños de la calle” broadcasted by a USA Hispanic Network Telemundo. She considers herself a person passionate about communications.

She is part of the St. Jude Research Hospital committee in the city of Miami, Florida USA, and this year she celebrated 20 years of holding the annual gala. She is also part of the Ronald McDonald House and Centro Mater, where she is a volunteer teacher for children in their primary years. 

Lorena is the co-founder of the company SS Productions USA, based in the city of Miami, Florida USA, and is the spokesperson for SS Insurance a USA based insurance company.
