Ángel Torres

Language: Spanish

Ángel Torres (born May 3, 1986, in Caracas, Venezuela) is a computer engineer, triathlete, and aquatic educator. Originally from Los Teques (Miranda State), she was raised in an environment grounded in discipline, respect, service, and empathy, with a Catholic formation that strengthened her life compass: to act with purpose and always with others in mind.
She is the founder of Swim with Me – Ms. Blue, an initiative through which she supports children and families in building confidence in the water through a respectful, safe, and trust-centered approach. Certified by the Red Cross as a Lifeguard and Water Safety Coach, she has developed a methodology that prioritizes comfort and regulation — ensuring the body feels calm and secure — before advancing to technical skill development.
Her personal experience living closely with neurodivergence has deeply shaped her pedagogical lens. She views behavior as communication and responds with structured routines, anticipation, choices, intentional pauses, and deep respect for each individual’s process.
Her purpose is to transform the water into a space of calm, autonomy, and empowerment — a true “I can” experience for every individual and every family she serves.
